What This Video Is About
This isn’t a formal performance or polished recording—it’s something more spontaneous. In this video, I’m playing around with Beethoven’s Sonata in F Minor late one night in the studio. No stage lights, no perfect takes—just me at the piano enjoying the piece in the moment.
You’ll hear some rhythmic variation and a touch of light improvisation. While I didn’t take the sonata far from its original form, I approached it with the freedom to interpret and explore in real time—not how you’d play it in a recital or exam, but how you might enjoy it when you’re alone with the piano and just want to see where the music takes you.
Why I Included This Video
I chose to share this clip not to showcase perfection, but to celebrate the joy of simply playing. Music isn’t always about being precise or polished—it can be about expression, experimentation, and the quiet joy of discovering something new in a piece you thought you already knew.
This is the kind of playing that often happens between lessons or at the end of a long day—when you sit down at the piano just to play for yourself.
The Setup
This video was filmed in my home studio using minimal equipment—low lighting, a simple camera, and a single take. While the audio and video quality might not be studio-grade, I hope it captures something more important: the genuine love of music that keeps us coming back to the keys.
