A Look Inside
Welcome to my online teaching studio. I launched Bach To Basics Music back in 1999, and in 2019 I shifted fully to teaching online — reaching students across Canada and around the world. Now you can learn from the comfort of your own home through Zoom or Teams, with a setup designed to make every lesson clear, personal, and fun.

A Tour of My Set-Up for Teaching Piano and Theory
Over the years, I’ve transformed my studio into a dedicated online learning space. From multiple camera angles and screen sharing to high-quality microphones and a graphics tablet for writing directly on your music — it’s all designed to make lessons engaging and easy to follow.
Whether we’re working on sight reading, RCM exam prep, or your favorite pop song, everything you need is right here on screen. Since 2019, I’ve been teaching students internationally — including in Canada, the United States, the U.K., Spain, and Portugal — bringing my one-on-one approach to students around the world through live, personalized online lessons.

Short Studio Tour for My Students
This part’s just for fun — a short behind-the-scenes tour of my studio for students (and future students) who are curious about the gear I use outside of lessons. Whether you’re into synths, sound production, or just like seeing where all the music-making happens, this little walk-through gives you a peek into the creative side of my space.
From the Roland FA and Yamaha MODX to the Arturia MiniBrute and Behringer DeepMind 12, there’s plenty in here to explore. I’ve also got a few fun tools for recording and mixing, like outboard compressors, mic preamps, the Zoom L20 LiveTrak, and more. It’s not a fancy studio — but it’s mine, and it’s a place I love to create in.
