Welcome to all of the new students who have recently joined Bach To Basics Music Studio. It has been wonderful meeting so many new families and students, and I’m very grateful to have you as part of the studio.

Over the past month, I have been making several updates to my online teaching setup to help make lessons even more streamlined, interactive, and engaging. These updates include the addition of a second automated camera, a wireless graphics tablet, and expanded studio control features.

The new setup allows me to move more freely around the studio while continuing to teach from different screens and camera angles. Students can now more easily see the desk view, what I call the “blackboard” screen, and the overhead piano camera. This helps make it easier to explain concepts, demonstrate examples, and move between different parts of the lesson more smoothly.

To help manage these changes, I’ve also added software called ManyCam, which allows me to switch between camera views during lessons. In addition, Stream Deck Mobile now gives me full studio control from anywhere in the room, making it easier to adjust the lesson view without interrupting the flow of teaching.

So far, students seem to be enjoying the new system, and over the next month I will continue making a few additional improvements to see what else can be added to make lessons even more fun and interactive.

In other studio news, I am also working on updating and modifying more student resources. This is taking a little more time than expected, as the studio has now grown to 64 weekly lessons across seven countries. It has been exciting to see the studio continue to grow, and I’m very thankful for the support.

RCM practical and theory exams are also quickly approaching. For students preparing for exams, we will continue working carefully through the required material to make sure everyone feels ready, confident, and well prepared.

Lastly, I would like to sincerely thank all of my students and families for helping make Bach To Basics Music Studio such a success. Your continued support is very much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Trevor Baron
