What This Video Is About

Ever wondered what an online piano lesson looks like from the other side of the screen? In this short video, I take you behind the scenes and show you exactly what students see during lessons. From multiple camera angles to on-screen annotations, you’ll get a full look at the tools I use to make online piano lessons clear, interactive, and effective. It’s all designed to help students stay engaged, feel supported, and make progress in a fun and flexible way.

What You’ll See in This Video

In this quick walkthrough of my teaching setup, you’ll see how I bring the experience of in-person piano lessons into your home, using:

  • Multi-Camera Views:
I switch between different camera angles—an overhead view of the keyboard, a front-facing desk cam, and a mobile camera—for close-ups and different perspectives when needed. Students always have a clear view of what I’m playing or explaining.
  • Live Screen Sharing & Digital Notation:
I use a graphics tablet to write directly on sheet music in real time. Whether I’m circling notes, highlighting patterns, or drawing rhythm cues, students see it all live through Zoom or Teams.
  • Professional Audio & Video:
With a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano, a Rode microphone, and studio-quality lighting, lessons are clear and easy to follow, no matter where you are in the world.
  • Flexible, Personalized Teaching Tools:
Whether we’re working on a new song, reviewing flashcards, playing a theory game, or exploring your musical interests, the setup is built to adapt. Everything is designed to make learning feel smooth and natural.

Why It Matters

Great tools don’t replace good teaching—but they do help make learning easier and more enjoyable. My setup allows me to respond in real time, adjust views to show exactly what students need, and bring music lessons to life through clear communication and creative tools. You don’t need to install anything fancy—just Zoom or Teams and a stable internet connection. I’ll take care of the rest!
