Speaking of local talent, Elizabeth, from the Piano Duo Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann, is from Medicine Hat. Then there’s MacKenzie Porter, a singer-songwriter raised on a ranch near Medicine Hat. She performs vocals and plays the piano and violin.

Let’s not forget our up-and-comers in classical vocal, piano, and guitar categories, just to name a few, at the Alberta Provincial Music Festival. All the contestants may not be from Medicine Hat, but the music festival was held here.
